Winning Prize and Contest

 

Winner of the Best National Instagram Photo Contest 2019 organized by The European Union in Senegal. 2nd place in the photo competition organized by WKILOVES AFRICA 2019. Top 10 Dakar Photographers, Contest organized by the 35 AWADRS 2017, 3nd International Photo Awards. Photographer and videographer for Peacock Capital advisors Group during the period of March 1-5, 2018, as part of the workshop on investment and infrastructure co-organized by UNECA (United Nations Economic Commission for Africa) NASP and USAID in partnership with Peacock Capital advisors Group.

Cherif Khoury is a producer, director and photographer based in Senegal/Dakar. He consults with international production companies such as Make Waves Media, OffTheFence, WaterBear Network, Backroads Pictures etc... Cherif combines his love for in-country travel and filmmaking, while telling the stories and sharing the perspectives of local communities through video, films, journalistic vignettes and short documentaries and photography. A consultant to various organizations in Senegal, Mr. Cherif Khoury has been with CorpsAfrica/Senegal for seven years. In his position as Communication Officer, Every year, he travels around the country to capture important moments of immersion of young CorpsAfrica Volunteers in the remote rural communities of the country. Through these trips, he has been able to take an interest, as an artist, in the exemplary work of the women of Nema Bah, who are committed to the preservation of the mangrove. Nominated by the 35 International Photography Awards as one of the top 10 photographers in Senegal in 2019, Mr. Khoury also won a second prize with Wikipedia's WikiLoves Africa competition at the Goethe Institute in Dakar as the second-best photographer, the same year. He also received the 2019 Best Instagram Photo Award in a contest organized by the European Union Delegation to Senegal.
